CAS Holds Workshop On Action
Research, More To Come
Dr. Celerino Tiongco facilitated the first CAS Faculty Training Workshop last July 13 and 20. Open to all units and schools, the workshop was attended by representatives from CAS, CSA, SED, SEC, and SMN.
The first session was an introduction to “action research” focusing on the basic ideas and strategies to improve individual teaching practice. The second session consisted of group workshops that highlighted the need for reflective practice of teachers to validate the effectiveness of teaching practices and quality of student learning in the classroom.
The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) has since lined-up three more Research Training sessions for teachers:
